Looking through the various jobs posted on the paradox website, I found out about the Tool Programmer position and thought : Damn, I am building a modding tool and studying in game design, I might have a very small chance!
But then I remembered that I just bought a House and started studying again, making any kind of move very difficult in those early years. Feeling a bit bumped down, I remembered a conference I attended that was talking about hoe remote work was "The future of jobs" and how "You cannot stop its advance" which made me wonder; What is Paradox's stance on remote work?
I know programmer and QAs are a big no no, for reasons explained here, but what about artists or community managers?
What about studios that are asking for Paradox to publish their game? Can they manage the whole thing remotely or do they need to go to Sweden for all meetings?
What about you guys? If you were to start a studio, do you agree with this bold claim from "industry veterans" that remote work is the ultimate future of the work experience?
