Paradox why have you forgotten Rome?

I am very curious as to why you have decided to completely forget about Rome, you´ve been very supportive of many of your released games in regards to patches etc...however Rome seems to have been thrown away in that regard. There are quite a few of us who are still waiting for the new official patch, and a if to the rather game breaking cascading alliances ¨bug.¨ Rome is an incredible game, it´s one of a kind in regards to a Paradox game, it´s a combination of both EU and CK, granted a bit neglected it would seem, but still superb nonetheless. Anyways, I suppose this could be a plea as well, to please consider showing it some attention once again.

Well, I guess that's because there are a lot more people out there who are interested in WW2 much more than in Roman era/Middle Ages (like myself, for example ) or who, at least, would like to actually play a game set up in that timeframe.

Being that said, I fully support your suggestion for a greater focus in the period 1000 BC - 1000 AD. I'd warmly welcome e.g. an EU:Rome II game!

Probably 600 AD-1000 AD. The fact that they weren't really really dark is a whole different discussion though.

EU: Rome 2.....The great game that was taken from us by EU 4......That was darkest day for my thinking of Paradox....
Anyway I'd love to see EU: Rome 2 and/EU: Dark Ages

It's a good game concept, the game itself would need a little more deepness. Once Paradox have a whole new character-driven-game concept, once they hace plots and rebel systems improved making civil wars more encouraging, once the trade system has been reworked enterely for Europa Universalis IV... all of that take should make a new release for Rome easier (though some unique features should be developed, of course. I'm thinking on religion, military...).

Perhaps it'll have its chance once March of The Eagles is ended... only speculating.

Rome 2 by Total War should have everything you need, a good idea would be to make a Rome expansion for EU4 with the whole world next time and not just Europe, so EU4 but in ancient times.

Why have they forgotten Rome? Because they are very, very busy making historical scenarios about Aztecs invading Europe in the 15th century for CK2 DLC's. With this type of sophisticated historical scenario work, who has time to make a patch?! lol:laugh:
