Paradox, why are you ignoring Belgrade?

This is a question directly to paradox. Belgrade was one of the most important and richest cities in the Balkans at the time and I'm struggling to understand why it hasn't been included. To make matters worse PDX have been working on Serbia, splitting smederevo into two and adding srem to Hungary but still ignore Belgrade and my question is, @Trin Tragula and @DDRJake, why has it been blatantly excluded from the game despite being so significant?

Beograd is in the game... but only if you start on or after the 20th of June, 1459. From the province history file for province 141:

capital = "Smederevo"
# ...
1459.6.20 = {
        owner = TUR
        controller = TUR
        add_core = TUR
        capital = "Beograd"
}

Sadly, there is no event to change the province capital in normal gameplay.

I believe that the OP wants to add the province of Belgrade and/or include an event for the serbian capital be moved to the place
And, in my opinion, would not hurt. Every now and then there's someone wanting to add some important place or event to the game, i believe that Paradox could add some of them

The problem of OP is that the province doesn't exist, and there is no event to depict the actual importance it took during the timeframe. We could argue that there are a lot of similar cases, but this is still a good point that could move towards suggestion forum.

The reason Smederovo was the capital was because Belgrade was owned by Hungary in 1444 not by Serbia, that doesn't make it any less invalid so your point is a bit silly. The Ottomans made it the capital of Sandjak or Smederevo when they conquered it suggesting that it was more important than Smedervo.. Also this is like saying no point of adding any province due to not being the capital..

No Serbian nationalism is not the answer for everything, I'm not even from Serbia. I simply want it to be accurately represented in the game, is that too much to ask? Belgrade was clearly one of the most important cities in the Balkans at the time with a massive fortress which took the Ottomans 4 sieges and 250,000 soldiers to capture..

They reason I felt this was necessary was pdx have been working on the Balkand recently and I felt that the exclusion of Belgrade was pretty silly. I originally thought the province that is now Srem was Belgrade and got excited but when I saw the truth I was in disbelief, how is Srem more important than Belgrade.

And that would make Belgrade as big as London (est. 50.000 in 1500), Lisbon (55.000), bigger than Rome (38.000) and Vienna (45.000)... let alone trading cities such as Hamburg, Lubeck, Amsterdam...

For pretty much every topic on the Balkans you have a group of trolls calling it nationalism.

Belgrade was and still is an important city in the Balkans. It should be added to the game, it should have a center of trade since it sits on the conflux of two major rivers, a fort and it should belong to Hungary in 1444.

There were other topics that proposed these same things as well, by non Serbian people if you can imagine
