You know which files have the lines that define this and how to alter this? I mean that would be real relief if you (or anyone) can mod this out for the time being.
Paraphrasing WJS, "Turn off event 64010"

Thanks, to both of you. Unfortunately, as meintioned before i´m basically illiterate in coding, i don´t know how to "switch event x off". (it´s ironman btw, so console is not an option regardless). Can i ask you for more specific instructions?
Ironman? well I think you are out of luck then.
But I never played Ironman - I always play with mods - maybe someone with more knowledge can help you.
Well you can run ironman with mods - you just don´t get achievements. Ironman just means you can´t reload, and can´t use the console.
ai = no
ai = yes
trigger = {
ai = no
ai = yes
has_epidemic = no
is_ill = no
...etc...
As it is, go to the events folder, open the file "lovers_events.txt" in notepad, search for 64010 and inside the trigger section, before the "has_epidemic = no", write
Code:ai = no ai = yes
so it ends up like this
Code:trigger = { ai = no ai = yes has_epidemic = no is_ill = no ...etc...
Save the file and it is done.
Umm, just to be sure: i should write BOTH "ai=no" and "ai=yes". Isn´t that contradictory? (Sry, if it sounds like a stupid question..)
Exactly. The idea is to confuse the computer into doing nothing.
As they are mutually exclusive conditions they will never be fulfilled, thus the event never fires.
And just "ai = no" would not be enough to disable it?
OK, shows what i know. Thank you for the help, i´ll give it a try!
With "ai = no" you can receive the event. If that is what you want, go ahead.
"always = no" would do the same![]()
I want the devs to solve this, not make a tapdance around broken mechanics.
Just because you don't like the current mechanics doesn't mean that the mechanics are broken. I think it's legit to say that you don't like them and want to see them changed, but don't say that they're broken unless they either demonstratively either make the game nigh-unplayable (which they clearly don't) or are clearly not working as intended (they may not be WAI, but that's not clear).
I've just played for 300 years, always had a wife and 2-3 concubines, AI seduction off, and weirdly NONE of my wives or concubines cheated. Could it be related to them being lustful (I didn't have any lustful ones)? Or to being above court size (I always stayed below)?
I agree that this should not happen to the OP with his settings and should be fixed, it sounds like a bug with an event.
I too have this problem. I've just had to abandon another run because of this and another new bug. 3.11 has broken the game for me and now Im sat waiting for a new patch.What's weird is that I'm not sure anyone else is experiencing this. At least not to the extent you are reporting here. Yes I've seen my wife have an affair but that was rare and there were sound explanations. She hated me, was lustful and there were male seducers in my court.
But till someone else can confirm that this is going on it might really just be related to your game or setup. If it really is a code change then many players should see this. So far no one else has reported it.
If your still willing to do this it would be really helpful. That way I dont have to keep entering the files everytime para do a new update and it resets everything. That reminds me: go into files and delete preg deaths (again) and spymaster murdered (again).I can whip up a little mod for you this afternoon, if you want. Though I agree that these events should probably be put under the AI seduction game rule.
