Paradox Titles Freeze When Quitting the Game

Crusader Kings II, Sengoku and March of the Eagles all crash when I try to quit to desktop. This just started recently.

Does anyone have any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had the same problem with several paradox games. Lets see if someone has found a solution...

If the games haven't all changed at the same time, then it must be something external. The obvious candidates that occur to me would be a Windows patch, a video driver update, or an anti-virus signature file update. Maybe if you posted your OS/SP versions, video driver versions, and AV info a common pattern may emerge.

Does the game actually freeze, or does the game quit and then a message pops up saying it stopped working. If it's the latter, that happens to me with all PDS games: just click end task, it doesn't actually affect anything.

In some it only freezes and in some it stops working. In steam it just freezes (No pop up). Other show the pop up.

AoD and EU3 have done that for many years. CK2 doesn't do this, so I guess it is a problem that has been fixed in the newer games :unsure:
