I've been looking for some user-experiences about playing Paradox titles at ultrawide resolutions. (Other titles mostly played include other turn-based strategy-games, think Civ and Total War). Currently I am doing so on a GTX960 4Gb on a 24" 1080p screen, however, I am looking to upgrade to an ultrawide screen (3440x1440).
As I understand it, my current GPU will be somewhat underpowered to provide me with a good ultrawide experience. I'm looking for member experiences with the above setup, ultrawide on specific GPU's. What are your experiences in upgrading a system to allow for this? My processor is an i7-4790k, so that should probably not be a bottleneck with any upgrade.
