A proper supply system and a move=attack combat system are probably too much to ask, but can't you guys include it in VickyIII?
Let's not look beyond the horizon yet. Hopefully in a couple of years we'll have a Vicky 3, but V2 still has great potential and I would certainly rather them make more expansions for it then start all over with a third game.

That amount of terrain on the map doesn't fit. But yes, he should definitely be hired by them.
I'll definitely sign this. I would really like to see a system that allows you to interfere with alliances along with more in depth diplomacy.
...Also, i'd like to see the military costs and effectiveness revised.
For example in AHD artillery is cheeper to support than most units (even basic inf!) most of the time. It can attack from second line and has no penalty in first. And it has great ATT/DEF values, especially in the endgame...

OK, on a much more minor note than most of the suggestions, I'd like to see:
Generals and Admirals recruited from specific officer pops. When leaders are created, they'd be assigned a home pop (like what regiments have). If this pop joined a rebel faction, the leader would defect to the rebels in the event of a rising. Would make civil wars more exciting.

Great game, but you'll never be able to play WW1 without these features. At the moment the battle of the Marne would consist of the Germans attacking the French and British near Paris, being defeated, and then ending up in Paris before going on a grand tour of France. The battle of the Somme would consist of the British leaving their trenches, arriving in front of the German trenches a week later, attacking, being beaten, and the spending another week either retreating to a province behind German lines, or retreating to their own lines only to find that the Germans got there first. Massive immersion killer.
Things that might be possible in an expansion?
- Improved great war dynamics: you just shouldn't be able to make peace once you've joined a great war unless you've got massive war exhaustion.
- Expeditionary forces controlled by the host country.
