Well your factories are in the red because either, your techs suck and your products suck compare to other producers of that said good, lacking raw materials(especially later like rubber and oil, or silk in the beginning),your producing products that you cant sell for more than you make. Also prestige is very important and sphering countries. Prestige affects buying order(maybe also selling), and sphering countries puts more available customers that will buy your good first before the whole prestige thing.

Yes, I know all that. But I am talking about those times (they frequently happen around 1850/1855, don´t know why, I guess it has something to do with the markets) when everything was going well (green) and suddendly, whitout any apparent reason (no changes in your policies, sphered countries, prestige...), everything turns red.

That is an absolute nonsense, but that's unsurprising since you're incorrect. There's absolutely no reference to government type in the migration targeting logic, but there are references to voting rights (and reforms themselves give small bonuses, too) - so a full-rights con mon is 97% more popular than a no-rights republican dictatorship, if all else is equal. That won't outweigh the New World bonus, but does equal out the culture bonus.
