Signed, and is it too early to make a wishlist? I for one would like to see the possibility of modifying base RGO size through events and the like. Particularly events that change the RGO type.

After AHD the only areas of the game I still find lacking is colonialism and warfare. It would be great to get an expansion that expands on the colonial part, preferably by adding to the process of acquiring colonies and making it less of a "no-brainer" to get them. Currently by the time one has researched the approriate techs, the other types of national focii are not important enough that you can't spare one of them for the lenght of time it takes to grab a colony or two.

In warfare I would most of all like to see changes to the naval part. Either make it like in EU3, where you can only build ships in your core provinces, or make port structures a requirement for production. Also, submarines would be really nice.

I couldn't agree more. Especially colonisation needs to be reformed. I'm pretty annoyed, that there is basically no reason, not to colonize.


Suggestion: There should also be a possibility of "colonial wars": E.g. France and Britain fight a colonial war. France wants colony X from Britain. Now they can be at war, but only in Africa and only with colonial troops. There would be no fighting in their homelands.

I wish they could get the AI to be aggressive. It seems im the only GP that ever wants to take colonies.

My ideas for an expansion :
- man forteresses with soldiers/officiers from the manpower pool of the province so that there is an ongoing cost of maintaining fortresses everywhere, and scale the bonuses with the number of said soldiers/officiers
- allow the building of fortresses directly to the max level so that you can dig trenches while at war
- allow the destruction of fortresses to save manpower
- same thing for rail roads and naval bases. After all there was a reason why Africa and Asia where not covered with high level infrastructure at this time. And it will add long term strategy in colonialism.
- limit the daily possibilities for goods to reach the world market regarding infra and naval bases. Something similar to the supply system of HoI3
- replace the world market by trade centers that require specialized workers, but also needs daily horses/ships/cars. Or use this trade center as intermediaries between the povinces and the world market.
- manpower cost for ships if it is not the case (I don't remember)

EDIT : alors, managing trade throughput via naval bases could allow a mechanism of trade embargo if an ennemy put enough warships in front of them

In my opinion, the parts of the game that definitely need revamping are colonization (not enough rivalry between GP, not enough dynamism), the naval system (currently uninteresting, the naval techs are even perhaps the less useful of all tech tress), and trade system : free trade vs protectionism was a major debate throughout the century, but currently, the trade system makes protectionism pointless in protecting your own producers, since your pops already buy first in your market. Protectionism is simply a tax that makes the life harder for your pops and factories, while free trade means subsides...
I think naval/trade/colonization are linked aspects of the game, that could provide a framework for a future expansion.

In migration still needs to be nerfed. As things are inmigrants still prefer a republican dictatorship with no rights or social benefits than a full of political and social rights monarchy. It´s a nonsense.

On top of that I think the whole economic part should be make more clear. It is very difficult to tell why suddendly all your budget and your factories turn red.

Well your factories are in the red because either, your techs suck and your products suck compare to other producers of that said good, lacking raw materials(especially later like rubber and oil, or silk in the beginning),your producing products that you cant sell for more than you make. Also prestige is very important and sphering countries. Prestige affects buying order(maybe also selling), and sphering countries puts more available customers that will buy your good first before the whole prestige thing.
