Hi, folks!

It is my duty to report, quarterly, that we are about to issue our quarterly report. The Q2 2019 report from management here at Paradox Interactive will appear next week on Tuesday, August 13th, and will be listed on our website at https://www.paradoxinteractive.com. As always, we will host a live stream of the report at 12:00 Noon CEST the same day, with the report shared by our CEO and CFO alongside public Q&A. Ebba and Alexander will take your questions about the last quarter, and about any and all Paradox business curiosities you may have.

If you have a question you would like answered during this stream, you are invited to post them in this thread, or to ask during the livestream in Twitch chat. The livestream will be on our Twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive, but for those who cannot make it, questions will also be answered if posted here or emailed to ir@paradoxplaza.com. We will prioritize questions about financial details and the report itself, but we will take other questions as well if time allows.

See you then -- and Prepare for Planetfall!

Cheers,
Jesse

Hello, I have a couple of questions.

A couple of years ago I heard that DLC pricing is set on the amount of development time (development cost) instead of the perceived value. Can you confirm if this true and still the case (or not anymore)? Also I heard that programmer time is more expensive than content. Shouldn't there be a bigger focus on content development for EU4 or HOI4 for instance instead of big mechanical changes?

What are current plans for the "older" PDS games such as CK2 and EU4. It seems that development has slowed down (particulary on CK2). For how much longer does PDX expect to keep these games "alive"?

After the release of Imperator Rome the game wasn't received well by the fans and the developers themselves I expect with all the plans for changes. If I remember correctly the release of HOI4 was pushed back because PDS wasn't happy with the state of the game. Why wasn't this decision made for Imperator Rome?

Thank you for your time

Will there be a YouTube version after the stream has aired for those that can't watch it?

Also, how much does it cost to make a game? How much does it cost to make a DLC?
Would paradox still make a profit on games if suddenly everyone decided they are only going to buy things once they are 50% off?

What percent of people who buy a DLC also buy the accompanying content pack?
What percentage of people have own paradox games, but not any DLC's?
What is the average number of DLC's people have bought for each game?
What is the most interesting statistic about people's buying patterns of your games?

Can you talk about the declining ratio of sales to capitalized development? Over the past several years, the ratio has fallen in half.
What is the cause? Is this something we should expect to continue?

(Last twelve months sales) / (average capitalized development over the last year)
Whichever way you define the ratio, it says the same thing.
