I think we'd try to be a bit more upfront about anything like that. Bloodlines 2 is a good example, platforms/channels at announcement, very clear about our commitment.
I had no idea about Epic Games? never heard about them?? Platform exclusivity as a concept is beyond ridiculous though, I generally dislike it ever since EA's Origin came onto the scene, fair enough though that some of EA's games are exclusive on the platform. They can do what they want, it's their games.

I'm more lenient - no Steam, GoG, Xbox pass gamestore, or Origin, no buy. Essentially buy everywhere but on Epic.

I think people are concerned that they're going to stop taking that approach. That kind of talk from the CEO sounds kinda similar to other companies that took the Epic money for exclusives. Hence why there are multiple threads popping up to get some clarification.
You want to stick your game on every platform that'll have you, that's great.
You wanna take the money and be an Epic exclusive, that's your choice... just don't get offended if consumers get angry, and don't be surprised if they don't buy your product.

If you go Epic exclusive you will join EA and Ubisoft on my "never getting my money" list
I listened to a podcast recently where the game director of Hearts of Iron 4 stated that one of the big things he wanted to improve on from Hearts of Iron 3 was to improve its modding capability. Although not a massive mod user (primarily cosmetic), I think that goal has been achieved because some excellent mods have been created, kaiserreich being one that comes to mind. I doubt this would have been possible without the steam workshop.
It looks like mod capability is on the roadmap for the epic games store and to be honest, if you own a business and can make more profit on a different store then why not make the switch.
