How about Südsachsen or anything else with Sachsen? You're the lower-Saxons, after all.

The one in the Swaheli-area definitely needs to be "(Freie Republik) Neu-Helgoland" whether it contains Zanzibar or not.
The one in the area of Kamerun/Gabon: "Bürgermeister-von-der-Fechte-Land" (or the name of the Bürgermeister the area was acquired under)
The small one South of Kongo: "Freie und Hansestadt Neu-Lübeck" or "Freihafen"
Madagaskar is a tough one, if you combine it with the Comores and the other islands there it could be "Ratsherr-XXXX-Archipel", named after the guy who discovered them (if it was a Hansa-Explorer) or took posession.
For the Algeria one, I'm a bit lost, might be "Südermarschen", "Vandalenland", "Neu-Karthago". Neu-Karthago is maybe nice in the context of trading empire...

Well you could use Neu- for all historical Hanseatic cities, even if you don't control the historical one:

This should annoy some of your neighbour, in a good way

I wasn't planning to change name of the Algeria ones until that area has become properly Hannoverian. Though you gave me some good ideas for future names as well.

It got interesting yesterday when I managed to forget about Overextension and colonies... :unsure:

I rightfully seized around 270% OE worth of colonies from the wicked Portuguese. It got a bit interesting there for a while, with rebels everywhere. Everything stabilized quickly enough though :happy:

In other news I've managed to stack up 10k gold and a monthly income of 200 now.

Probably the most notable event of yesterday's MP was the Western Powers (France, Morocco, Hansa, Netherlands, Britain, Bohemia) striking a deal with the Central Powers (Austria, Venice, Ottomans, Spain, Mamluks) wherein we would sell out Bohemia to Austria and they would sell out Spain to me. My end of the deal went well, I invaded Spain and took Aragon as a vassal, but AI Netherlands (who had stayed allied to Bohemia) somehow managed to take on Austria, Venice and Ottomans and beat them all despite being outnumbered 3:1, so Bohemia came out of its war with all its provinces intact.

Afterwards, Ottomans and Venice viciously backstabbed the Mamluks and took something like half their land. It's a bad time in Europe if you don't have powerful friends you can count on.

Yes, I was betrayed by my machiavellian "allies" who had made deals with France to sell me out before the session started. France, Great Britain, Marocco, Naples, the Hansa (I think) and the Netherlands attacked me... a conservative estimate puts their troop strength at something like 250,000 versus my 50,000 men, so this war was decided before it had begun. My army tech wasn't very impressive, though, so I would probably still have lost to France in a more even fight.

I won some minor land victories in South America against Marocco and Naples/GB, but by then my entire fleet had been sunk and all of Spain was occupied. My one remaining ally were the Mamluks, but this was only because they couldn't peace out seperately due to being in the coalition against France. I don't think there was much fighting on that front, until they in turn were betrayed and attacked by the same allies who had sold me out... but that's a different story.

The lesson to be learned here is TRUST NO ONE. EVER.

This much troubled time has been good for des Freistaates. The Republic of Al-Djazair has finally been integrated into Hanse and the Suahelischen Republik has grown immensely now encompassing the entire coast and Zanzibar.
Madagaskar production is growing and becoming worthy its own sovereignty and official Hanse Kontor to be established. Then as this century was coming to a close we got our chance to fight the Camel riders of Egypt! For too long had they stood there threathening the free and righteous people of Northern Germany and finally we got our revenge for all those years we lived in fear. Technically, as didnt do much except march my Brazilian Anti-Rebel-Army down to Argentina, as I was too busy with other things..

I feel bad of the Moroccan/British attack on Portugal, but well.. Mercy is for fools...

And yeah, The unholy trade alliance of Morocco and Hansa decided to attack Mamelukes as the Ottoman&Venetians was dismembering them, just to attempt to sink their tradefleets, MAY have been a bit evil as well.

If you only count the troops that fought Spain, 250k is a decent estimate. The total alliance strength is double that though. It was overkill, but you never know who might decide to intervene. Fighting fair just means you lose more wars.

I also decided to instead just invest like nobody's business, and for a while was the richest nation around (I somehow suspect England's OE had something to do with THAT ) - that's sadly no longer the case, but I'm now fairly comfortably in second place income wise (15 ducats over #3 Morocco.. and 30 ducats under #1 Britain), and my force limit has increased nicely. Now I just need to build me an army worthy of Mordor Russia. (I'm "only" around my Forcelimit at the moment)

Denmark fought for his independence and has cooperated a lot with me over time. For instance he got Brandenburg and Pommerania + Ösel.

48 years in a PU under GBR doesnt help either.

The war against Spain took me by surprise, but I'll happily take the loss of a few troops for the destruction of the Spanish trade armada. To be fair, it's your own fault for stopping the shipments of trade to my Panama node.
