Muscovy got beaten do to having to fight a war against Pol-Lit alone while they were still at war with Golden Horde, also it helped that Groogy rented out an army to Poland since Muscovy was actually making gains prior to Ottoman being able to see Muscovy... Muscovy is fine, they just had bad luck in this run... Idealy, they would have supported Sweden (mistakes were made) which would have been in a strong position there and could have aided much then against Poland...
It doesn´t sound like it, the last run they mentioned that there had been some fixes internally but they played on an older build... However, it could be that Johan overrules and demands the new build, you now... To limit the bugs and test the new build ;-)
They do update the dev stream build. The coptic nerfs will be in the next build, Ottoman government type I think was a joke about nerfing if not islamic. But couldn't tell for sure.

What's the 4% thing?

The person was joking about making it go to 4% just to tease Groogy. Not an actual change.

the only thing I can think of is a dynasty switch. The nerf in discipline can't be turned around. The Ottoman government form sounds awesome at least, but it will probably become quite hard to ever switch dynasty.
Which is why you force everyone to become Ottoman dynasty! Although Groogy got close with losing 2 of his three heirs under Mehmet's rule. Granted one of the two was a disinherit iirc :p

That said, you could always just disinherit your way to a new dynasty

They always do update the MP game to the newest patch once it's a working copy that they want to put on stream. Internally something fixed doesn't necessarily mean they already have it on a new patch.

Okay... remember it was mentioned with some rebels that had high unrest in southern africa for France... But that might not be made into a patch

Also, the Golden Horde, being successful, actually securing a Timurid alliance and that alliance actually helping them are all unusual circumstances for the GH, so he got quite unlucky with that.

Also, the Golden Horde, being successful, actually securing a Timurid alliance and that alliance actually helping them are all unusual circumstances for the GH, so he got quite unlucky with that.
GH being lucky, might be because they were actually lucky, as in lucky nation ;-) they get some great buffs when that happens :)

Did they actually start as one? Oh ya, LNs don't change do they? It feels odd, despite the number of devs that GH would start as lucky, but that's cool.
It doesn´t matter how many devs plays, if just one takes a lucky nation slot it is randomly given to someone else... Here you have nearly all lucky nations (if not all) that are being played, hence the chance for GH to become lucky increases... And yes, they were from the start :) was shown quite early when Jake realized that GH had not been beaten down, but instead grown :)

Muscovy should have taken more allies though. I think the alliance with Sweden has only held him back.
He should, he relied too much on Sweden alliance... He might should have done more like France, and allied some AI who won´t really backstab you... Da9l won a war against 3 players or 2, given he was aided a bit by England... But still, the swarm of AI minors even impressed Jake...
Sweden should have allied with Burgundy to divide Denmark between them, otherwise, the one time I played Sweden I easily won my freedom on my own before the mechanics all changed.
Might have complicated alliance with Sweden, since they would likely have wanted DK for themselves...

Denmark was allied to a few minors and Sweden went at it practically alone... No one was able to aid him, so you would likely have lost that anyway... Fighting a DK on equal terms, yes you can likely pull through... But not when you are against Denmark-Norway and 2-3 allies

It doesn´t matter how many devs plays, if just one takes a lucky nation slot it is randomly given to someone else... Here you have nearly all lucky nations (if not all) that are being played, hence the chance for GH to become lucky increases... And yes, they were from the start :) was shown quite early when Jake realized that GH had not been beaten down, but instead grown :)

Unless it changed relatively recently, there is a set order to who becomes a lucky nation next. Not surprising GH got LN status considering all of the usual starting LNs are player controlled on top of a decent amount of next in line nations. From what I recall, Timmy is the first nation in line - so if you play as a lucky nation timmy then becomes lucky. GH won't be far off from Timmies.

To my knowledge there is a built in list of lucky status orders. So if France + muscovy are selected, than the next 2 nations in the list become lucky. So on and so forth until the end of the list is reached (which I think ranks every nation, could be off on this)
As stated in previous post, I won´t deny it since it both sounds plausible and I also had the thought that this was the case, but can´t find anywhere to confirm it, which makes me use the more cautious answer... I am pretty sure the list isn´t full, but it makes sense that some nations are preset to "favoured" ahead of others... Though I have seem some pretty random nations get the lucky when playing majors :)

I will try to confirm it though...

For balance, I wonder how bad it will set Europe back if you play something like Pasai, pick exploration as your first idea group and be the spawn place of the "colonisation" institution. Won't that make Europe lag behind for quite some time and quite hard? It might make RotW games a lot easier.

I also wonder how tech groups influence the cost at the moment, but I bet that has been explained somewhere already.
