Wiz I am really positive that your goal shouldn't be having most points but rather releasing Gotland and giving it all your provinces, that's a pretty realistic and historical concept.
PS I wish in next eu4 Developer Game, (firstly that another one is done and secondly) you let us pick who will play which nation so you get to play Byzantium and show us why we shouldn't be so grumpy to you all the time and stop the endless Byzantium threads with the same topic same arguments (but different person posting) .

Most multiplayer games result in a very historical Byzantine play.

Whining incessantly to the western powers for help, crying and screaming about how Ottomans will be OP if nobody will help you stop it, insulting people who don't jump at the chance to help you, and then looking for a western minor to relocate to after being knocked out (often one in Italy) to start life over.

You know if I had to play Byzantium, I'd probably let the Ottomans have Constantinople and then function as a march for them. If they couldn't core enough land, then give it to a faithful ally in exchange for me abandoning all my former cores . If they don't want this offer, then you're pretty screwed anyway. The Byzantium fanboys would hate it, but one does what one must to survive...

I've wanted to do this as Trebizond. They have the perfect idea set for espionage trollfare, and they're the better ERE anyway.

I'd vote to ensure Wiz plays either as a buddhist or one of the tribes in the new world (either mesoamerican or north america).

My guess is MP vs SP balance for Buddhist countries are entirely different beasts (yes, I played Buddhist last office campaign). This is since other human players have the potential to constrain your expansion in a well populated MP campaign more than karma or paper mana do.

The problem with Buddhism is they're so far down the rung of power that they're just not entertaining to play. You can't go tall with them, +60% tech costs. You can't expand very well, +60% tech costs. You're at the merc of never rolling below a 3 for miltiary, +60% tech costs. None of the buddhists are particularly powerful so you can't roll up multiple +2 advisors to get past tech costs.

It's not that buddhism is BAD, it's that if you put any religion in an area that crappy people would complain.

I'd find it funny for about 15 minutes. Then I'd probably turn the stream off after I watch every north american tribe just sit there and do nothing.
