Yeah, I'd personally love a bit of clarification on whether or not a siege of a fort will allow a strait to be blockaded. If it doesn't then that is a huge change (And IMO, suggests that there should be a crossing between Gibraltar and Morocco). I'm surprised that this is the mechanic they've gone with, rather than damaging the blockading fleet (because, y'know, being shot at), as you wouldn't lightly transport your own troops across a strait under fire.. that would be so dangerous, one mis-shoot and you've lost a transport.
Whilst I'm obviously concerned as a Byz player, this could also be huge in the Far East -> Malacca.
Is there any word on whether there will be any changes to blockades with forts?
Another thought is Forts on Islands - If you can transport troops across a strait with your forts protecting them, will we be able to load troops onto transports even if an enemy fleet is there? It seems to be the same context to me.
