New World still relies on the benevolence of the first colonizers to not just curb stomp them immediately. And then if they DO build up their religions make them stronger than the Europeans, so you basically made a mistake keeping them alive.

All in all I just dislike new world players. They're basically wasting my bandwidth as host.

New world in a competitive game is just silly. There's playing with a handicap, and then there is playing with a handicap as a lightweight in an ultra heavy weight match, where your opponent has guns and bombs and a presidential pardon to forgive him for just completely slaughtering you and a life insurance policy set out against you that he can still cash in even if he murders you somehow...

So you basically need a ton of house rules to give the New World a chance against a human colonizer, or you just don't have them in it.

So some immediate drama I see from the roster:

Ottoman - Witch-King
Mamelukes - Forzaa
Timurids - Johan
Tunisia - Distantaziq

I think this outcome depends largely on how involved Johan wants to be with Europe, but my money is on Forzaa actually. I think the smart move for Distantaziq will be to team up with Ottoman for some convenient smashy wars, though.

It's a toss up here, not sure what'll happen.

Of course, with this game, things can obviously go any number of ways, but those are the immediate tossups I see happening. It looks like we'll be seeing some bloody play in this round.

yeah you guys have a surprising concentration in India this time, 3 players, 4 if you count the Timurids, which we probably should since they will wanna form the Mughals most likely, although who knows maybe he was planning to form Persia instead

I don't know yet. The community (well, one person) more or less decided it last time, so I feel like it should be that way this time too.
