Both Russia and Hungary are paper tigers. They looks big, but a close look at their technology they are both lag behind western powers. They both need to westernize. For Hungary much of its provinces have high autonomy for sure, and according to its stats, it has only half of it army strength compared to Austria (but it also means great potential)....
Coloured wasteland is beautiful. Only thing left that bothers me is CN colours if you form another country. Not too bad for Castile or England, but for Holland... argh. And not to form any CN before you form another tag isn't even enough, as long as the first province you colonized in a region was with your old tag, the CN will get that old colour. I hope at least that can be changed. Consider it the very last "game-breaking bug" (its indeed game-breaking, I can't handle it when I see it

[Groogy probably doesn't want to ally with WitchKing, but the partition of Hungary between them seems legit for me
If I was Burgandy I would actually join the other side and try to wreck France or grab some of the HRE because as things stand where else can they really expand?
@Groogy you should form an unholy alliance w/ @Wiz and @Johan and split the world between you. I have the treaty all plotted out for you: Johan gets everything south of the Black, Mediterranean and Caspian Seas, bordered on the west by the Carpathian Mountains and the East by the Himalayas, Wiz gets the New World, plus everything north of the Carpathians and west of the Easternmost point of the Baltic, and you get everything else.
It makes no sense for Hungary to remain alive by now. After they terrorised the world with their terrible borders, now every player neighbour has a VC on them, plus both Brandenburg and Austria could use the breathing space. That overextension is going to cost them dearly, as it has forced them to lag behind in Admin tech and ideas, as well as causing them a headache in the form of rebels here and there for some time. I feel like the Ottomans shouldn't hesitate to join Russia in this crusade, but of course there remains the Austrian question. While they would benefit from the VC and other lands they may take, this would mean being in cahoots with the Russian and the dreaded Turk, who are already too strong as is. Therefore, this situation offers itself as a great opportunity for a massive war between groups of players.
An interesting turn is how Russia was allied to Hungary and let it get away with everything up until now! It's only logical that they try to make up their mistakes of the past now. Both sides must be careful because the war that's coming can change the balance of power for good. Not that there is a very stable one, but a change could precipitate reactions hither and thither. Most importantly, if the British system of alliances stands and Austria is drawn into a Eastern European conflict, France and Burgundy will be ripe for the taking by this Atlantic coalition.

Hungary is alive because he replaces the power vacuum that appeared after Poland and Lithuania died. Me killing him for instance would result in me getting a small piece and Austria/Ottomans getting the biggest. My threat was not a "I will kill Hungary" but just a simple that I want my VC for 2k score on the area called Lithuania centered around Vilnus.

I mean every neighbour has a VC on them. The options are either war or appeasement.
I don't get it wasn't sweden protected since it was a player nation with the player not present?
