Have the impression Wilhelm VII can be Duke of BergMormegil said:F1. Duke Wilhelm VII of Jülich and Berg, *1338, +25.6.1408; m.1363 Pfgfn Anna bei Rhein (*1346 +30.11.1415)
E2. Duke Wilhelm II of Jülich (1361-93), Duke of Geldern (1372-93), *1333, +13.12.1393; m.25.12.1362 Maria of Geldern (+12.5.1405)
From Geneology.cz
The last one should be duke from what I understand... seems the most probable.

Yeah, right. Check this stuff… http://www.geocities.com/kleveaf/tree.txtTxini said:Have the impression Wilhelm VII can be Duke of Berg
Berg indeed controlled by Wilhelm VII (son of Duke Gerhard VII of Julich and Margarethe – the last representative and heiress of the Dukes of Berg and Counts of Ravensbeg).Avernite said:Re: The Jülich family mess: Txine, it IS a mess.

shows who is who. But why the Duke of Jülich is the second son, and why both the elder and younger brother are listed as Duke of Jülich baffles me.![]()
And I have no clue who of those *I* am playing. If I'm playing the lot, cccino was indeed right that I controlled Berg aswell.
So is there anyone out there who does know wth these Jülich people were up to to creat such chaos several centuries in the future?![]()
Yes, you may consider yourself in control of the Berg branch as well. Whether you RP this as a branch or as a separate realm, or how it is ruled in relation to the map, is up to you.Avernite said:That's all nice and good, but that still doesn't tell me (as Berg isn't seperately shown on the map): Am I the Berg branch of the Von Jülichs aswell, or not?
Afterall, technically Jülich and Gelre have different rulers aswell, and I haven't followed the discussion that led to the creation of Jülich on the map![]()
there is no any separate Berg branches but only single of Julich-Berg since the times of Wilhelm VII. The separate one is only Geldrian (Wilhelm III and his brother Reinald).Avernite said:That's all nice and good, but that still doesn't tell me (as Berg isn't seperately shown on the map): Am I the Berg branch of the Von Jülichs aswell, or not?

You worried on that?? Remember all falls in FamilyAvernite said:Hmm, seems like I have some court-updating to do.
Ah well, getting a third Duchy can't hurt, right?
(though it surprising how the counties of Holland and Zeeland together would be more powerfull than my 3 duchies  )
