In the First months of the year of our lord 1383, the portuguese civil war was starting to be prepared while in the south the lonelly and poor Kingdom of Grananda started to befriend Aragon and Portugal, in this friendship Grananda expanded by buying the Balearic islands

The present states of Iberia, the Kingdoms of Castile y Leon, Portugal, Aragon and Granada are the offspring of the dynamic history which shaped the region, begining with the Muslim conquests on the Vandal Kingdom and the subsequent demise of the Almohad Empire.

Through the 1350s and 1380s, the Kingdoms of Iberia had faced massive instability and chaos.The Portueguese crown was soon to plunge into civil war, the Kingdom of Granada shreded apart by internal strife, and war clouds accumulated over the Kingdom of Castile.Even Aragon had indications that it was leaning torwards bloodlust.

However, our story begins in 1383 AD in the lonly Kingdom of Granada, the last refugee of the Moors.There in the halls of the Alhambra a plot unfolds to eredicate the political stagnation of the Kingdom, & strangly an alliance emerges with the northern Kingdoms of Aragona and Portugal.

I was thinking of somthing with less foreshadowing/predictions, and more what actually occured.

I have to read with more detail, your already lengthy storylines, but I imagine it would be somthing like this, only with more words:

Port: The big news all resulting from a marriage to another nation, and the various reactions to it domestically.

Gran: The moves of the king to consolidate his power, and why, and the reactions domestically.

Cast/le: The Queen has died, everyone is depressed.

Aragon: Mulling the sale of the Balares tot he Moors, and what the consequences would be.

Navare: A small fight broke out btwn. 2 farmers over whose Ewe was prettier.

etc. etc.

Only, as I said, with more words.


Perhaps, while I still think regions is a good idea.. maybe one person should serve as region coordinator, and everyone submits toi their region coordinator if they wish, and if they don't submit the coordinator can fill in as he can best make out?

1383 saw the start of renewed conflict between England and France over an unexpected subject- Brittany. Declaring his intent to avenge earlier treachery by the Montfort Dukes, England's Richard II landed an army in Rennes, only to suffer defeat by French, Breton, Burgundian, and Orleanist forces in both land and sea. A hasty peace was concluded, restoring the status quo ante bellum, as Charles VI of France had to switch his focus to restoring the fortunes of his faltering vassal, Louis, Duke of Anjou, in his campaign against Naples and as Richard faced a revolt by his uncle John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster.

shows who is who. But why the Duke of Jülich is the second son, and why both the elder and younger brother are listed as Duke of Jülich baffles me.

And I have no clue who of those *I* am playing. If I'm playing the lot, cccino was indeed right that I controlled Berg aswell.

So is there anyone out there who does know wth these Jülich people were up to to creat such chaos several centuries in the future?
