And how do these prevent Aragon or Castille from obeying the Avignon Pope?
...

With such a display of passion on the part of Aragon for Sicily... it is embarassing to stand up in front of the Pope, unless one has a piece of parchment to conveniently place between his vision and the loins. :p

Man, how do you people find all those juicy pieces of information regarding royal families?

Disclaimer: I know Elenora and Juan had other children, I just can't find names... so I figured they were girls and just threw down 2 randomly. Enrique and Ferdinand are just best known becoming Kings of Cast/Leon and Aragon respectively.... though in some places they are listed as twins, and in some Enrique was a year older.

My motto is, when in doubt, make it up. :p

EDIT: but now I must go check out SaT's page!

There's nothing wrong with love, even with passion, son. Loving God through his creatures is admirable and commandable. Desiring God through his creatures is the same -- supposing the passion and desire is induced by the love of the person, not by the love of fornication. His 'Oliness does understand these things, and he's compassionate with people wishing to fuck an island :).

My motto is, when in doubt, make it up. :p
Err. Okay, seems like there's a need for advertising Miroslav Marek's page more: www.genealogy.euweb.cz. And the EU:M Genealogy Page Second Try is in the making.

May I propose something?we should appoint someone to write the rpgs history piece by piece, it would be a nice addition and helpful for new players instead of gaining new slots. They could act upon past events, errr just a thought of course.

Usually my office is a quiet place, so when some idiot in his cubicle starts guffawing when he reads something funny, he'll get some strange looks from the people walking by... :D

The idea is good. Very good indeed.

We had one such position in the good ol' days, but it was rarely updated, and we had constant trouble filling it. Eventually, it crumbled.
The problem is, that the history of this RPG evolves so fast, in so many different courts, that it's next to impossible for anyone also trying to manage a job or taking an education to read it all, not to mention trying to determine what is worth writing down. But I would love to such the recorded history of the RPG to reemerge, and a restarts is a very good time to do so. It'll not be with me as chronochile-writer, though...

Perhaps Bz we should appoint a person for each region since stats are divided into regions themselves.A person for Iberia, a person for the Middle east. That way, the work is far more easier to manage and the person can cope with his region.

This page on the Héraldique Européenne lists the Doges of Venice -- with coats of arms! And a CoA is the best image that could represent a family, in my humble and rarther much biased opinion.

Well finally finished those pics :p

Anyone know if Jülich guy will use only the Duke of Gelre or will use as well Adolf VII Duke of Jülich as found my heir's only daughter is married to him :p

Uhh, what? According to my sources, the Duke of Gelre is married to the daughter of a Bavarian Wittelsbach, while the Duke of Jülich is married to Maria von Geldern, who doesn't seem to be the same as your heir's daughter.

Besides which, I can't find any Wilhelm born in 1338, so I am none to sure who it might be you are referring to...

But, if it is proven that she is married to a von Jülich afterall, I assume I would at least be RP'ing her husband, if not herself aswell.

Very good thinking!! Glad I didn't manage to kill the idea with my old-man-pessimism. :D

This idea is double good, since not only does it become easier, it also takes little extra time. I plan to read the courts that will effect my area anyway, so making notes of noteworthy occurances shouldn't be that much extra bother.

Not that I'm volunteering for the position. :)

Well, I HIGHLY doubt he is a Duke of Jülich, but okay. So he's the son of the older brother of who? Wilhelm II Duke of Jülich? Then why is Wilhelm II Duke and not him?

Who in This link would he be (look in table at the bottom)?

Think he is the one called Wilhelm VI(I) in the Link, the Duke previously to yours, maybe he was dethroned or something like.

The Guy seems to be him, but his borning date can be wrong, as my source also dates Gerhard to like till 1360.

I agree. If I do France/Western Europe, this is how it'll go:

In the year of Our Lord 1383, Charles VI, King of France, most glorious and beloved ruler to his people, did continue his lofty reign as sovereign of his ancient kingdom, wearing the hallowed and venerable crown once worn by Charlemagne, Saint Louis, and Clovis. Acting in accord with the highest traditions, as befitting so noble a man anoined by God as King, he did cast out the perfidious Albion from the fair shores of France, vanquishing the hated and wretched enemy with France's implacable arms while guiding his gracious and ...
