IMHO Piemonte should be a lot stronger now. Independent, one-province Genoa had something around 3 base eco just because it was Genoa. Obviously, when a superpower like Burgundy took it, they lost the bonus, but Piemonte is an Italian minor.. Bring back the Genoa bonus!o
That being said, I'm not going to beg Katztastics (Blade, for example) to come back to the game, but it sure as heck wouldn't hurt...

I think the Pope as NPC is a great idea, are you thinking to have them always be NPC, or only when someone is not up for playing them?
