BY THE WAY -- According to Wikipedia, Denmark-Norway should be Pro-Avignon. Granted Wikipedia is often wrong, but I don't see why they would be on this issue.

Also because Ladislas and Jehanne were Pro-Rome. Then again, Urban was Neapolitan, so it only made sense for Post-Joanna I Naples to support Rome.
Not so fast, cowboy. Urban and Charles actually waged war on each other (granted, they both were crazy) after it became obvious that Urban wished to install his nephew as King/some kind of governor of Naples. Made sense? Maybe. But IMO mostly because Louis d'Anjou's casue was embraced by Avignon. And so on. I doubt we could ever find out the real reasons why these or those guys chose their allegiance.

As for Denmark and Norway: I've read that, too, but I could not find substantial reference to it elsewhere. Though I have to admit I didn't search to vehemently. I bet there countries were too far away from both Avignon and Rome to be really disturbed by the Schism. Don't know.

Well the Count of Eu is not in the game, neither his wife or children. In game terms, the closest blood relative of Joanna I is Joanna II. The thing is, Joanna II's mother, Margherita, was the daughter of Marie of Naples and a different Charles of Durazzo, grandson of King Charles II. So she was of royal Angevin blood on both sides. She then marries CHarles III, nephew of the first Charles of Durazzo.

However, if we work by laws of primogeniture, the succession should be thus:

Charles II
+Charles Martel
++Charles Robert
+++Lajos (renounced claim in return for Poland. Thus, Jadwiga and Maria are removed from succession).
+++Andrew (m. Queen Joanna I)
+++Stephen
++++Elizabeth of Slavonia She is thus the legitimate heir, by primogeniture. Her sons are illegitimate, but if she gets married and has children, then they are the legitimate heirs to Naples.

+ Robert, King of Naples (m Yolanda of Aragon)
++ Charles
+++Joanna I, .m. Andrew of Hungary, Louis of Taranto, + 2 others
+++ Maria .m1. Charles of Durazzo 2. Robert de Baux and 3. Philip II of Taranto
++++others (NPC, so kinda irrelevant)
++++Margherita .m. King Charles III
+++++Joanna

+Philip I of Taranto
++Philip II of Taranto (m. both Marie of Naples & Elizabeth of Slavonia, but all the children died).
++Louis of Taranto (m. Queen Joanna I)
++ Margareta (.m. Francois de Baux, duke of Andria)
+++Jeanne de Baux, duchess of Andria & Lecce, Joanna II wife of King John

+John, Duke of Durazzo
++ Charles, DUke of Durazzo .m. Maria of Naples
+++Margherita
++John, count of Gravina
+++Charles III .m. ^ Margherita
++++Joanna
+++John I, King of Naples
++++Beatrice & Rainald of Julich

Oh, because you decided so?

As far as I know, the precident is that everyone is in the game, unless the player of the country specified decides otherwise. In this case, it would be Petrarca and France. The characters in mention lived in Normandy until they were killed in Naples in 1387 after being tricked by the (now dead) Ladislas.

While I'd love to eliminate some people to make my own claims stronger, if they're in other courts, it's really not "up to" you or I.

Don't get me wrong, I don't really mind your claim, since I'm not going to recognize it anyway... On the other hand, I just want to clarify. :)

The only people who could kill the Count of Eu and / or his wife are:
Petrarca (Player of France)
Ladislav (Head mod, by decision)
N. Katsyev (By event)

Not because I decided so. I believed France to be NPC, given that they haven;t been active since I've joined the game. My apologies.

We're working on the inactivity problem. The mods can only do so much.

*taking a break from essay*

Velasco: Geez, you are quite good at posting a high number of post, letters or something :rolleyes:

:D Apart from feeling overjoyed about Naples getting a new king,

*mutter* unlike that Charles of D deciding that he demand overlord of Ragusa :rolleyes: which doubtless ruined the wonderful and very benefitable friendship with Ragusa.*mutter*

Naples is one of the vital trading nation on Italy side trading with Ragusa. Doubtless, some of the silver coins in Naples are minted from silvers carried on Ragusan ships. ;) So therefore, expect my envoy to restore status quo once more, once I finished other replies that is, but then I would not be surprised to see the letter arriving at Ragusa soon ;)

Sap.

PS: When is the conoration? :eek:

*back to essay which I hate more and more with passing moments*

Sapphire Check your court! :rofl: and King John was already crowned. He was legitimised by Neapolitan law, much like the Beaufort were legitimised not long after this period in England (without the church stepping in), but without the clause which removed them from the succession.

I know, i know. In the meantime, I'll just keep posting in all the inactive people courts, maybe they'll check user cp and see it there, and be like "oh yeah...whatever happened to that RPG?" i mean some of them have been active on the forum quite recently, but not posted in the RPG for month+.
