Paradox Launcher isn't updating

So every time I log into one of my Paradox owned games, the launcher takes a bit of time to start before it is ready for me to play, but in the top left of the launcher, it says that the launcher couldn't update. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

That is the Forum that Tech people from PDX monitor to support players.
But first, read the two 'sticky' posts about how to help the Techies help you quickly by supplying the information they need.
Be prepared to tell them your operating system (win, mac, xbox, etc) the Launcher and Game versions.
If you do that, they will help you both out.

You may even find a thread with your issue addressed already.
In particular, mac users seem to be having Launcher issues.
