Paradox Launcher Instant crash [MacOS]

Hello ! since the new 1.29 update and the fact that EU4 is now launched with Paradox Launcher and not anymore with his own launcher I can't play to EU4, actually when I launch the game with Steam Paradox Launcher crash instantly, I can launch the game from local files but it doesn't launch with mods and dlcs

I'm on OS X High Sierra 10.13.6 and a Macbook Pro 13" MD313 (late 2011)
(i5 2,4GHz, Intel HD Graphics 3000 384mo and 6go 1333MHz DDR3)

This is a reported bug, on MacOS only, I'm afraid!


Is it that the launcher crashes and doesn't start up properly? Or the launcher runs okay but EU4 itself crashes when you hit PLAY?

the launcher doesn't even start and I can't play EU4 launched from the local files because I use a mod for have less lag so without mods I don't play EU4

Can I please see the 3 logs in this folder:
⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Application Support⁩ ▸ ⁨Paradox Interactive⁩ ▸ ⁨launcher-v2⁩

To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and type in ~/Library/ .

I have more than 3 log files so I have put all in a zip

I now have three reports of this on 10.13.6 and so I'm beginning to suspect there might be a problem with the launcher and MacOS versions before 10.14 , I'm not sure how far back they test that app. Are you willing and able to go to 10.14.6 ? Or is there something stopping you from doing so?

App Store doesn't proposes to me the update to 10.14.6 so I think that's because my Mac is too old :/ I wrote the config and the year of my Macbook at the top of the thread, and do you think there could have a patch for this problem ?

My other two cases have exactly that hardware, and I've now confirmed it cannot go to 10.14 . I hope to get an update from Paradox later today on this.

Have there been any updates on this? I'm running into the same issues with 10.12.6. I've tried deleting the library/application support/paradox interactive and the paradox folder under documents and that didn't help.

The only update is that my impression it was confined to certain MacOS versions was wrong. Deleting that folder has fixed problems like this in almost every case.
