And what's the golden badge with a number between 2 stars that some memebers have under the portrait and the rank? What does the number mean?

Anyway that bar shows how many games you own. Years ago people like SAS, Veld, and @gigau decided to challenge the forums themselves by acquiring so many icons that the icons alone took up a large part of the page. So a limit was set so that you only could show 50 icons at most and when you reached 50 you got the bar. That was also when it was introduced that you decided which games to show. Previously you showed everything registered whether you liked it or not.
The limit has since been raised to 54, since in the new forum there are 6 icons a row instead of 5 meaining that having it at 50 didn't fill out the last row. So now you get it once you get to 54 icons.

Maybe @AgisTournas could add an explanatory section for this into his initial post?

Except he didn't know about the bar and hence couldn't know about people having more than 54 icons.

but he could see the icons.... and he could also see some people had a larger number than others in the gold bar. Enough context to make a reasonable hypothesis as to the meaning of his euphemism

Please don't make much of that expresion. I used it misleadingly, obviously.

English is not my native language, I self learnt and never got a formal education on it. It's a language I'm quite fluent on but not proficient enough to use for euphemisms, metaphores and such. Many times I just try to translate Spanish sayings.

And I don't expect to catch up you guys in icons, medals, number of posts writen nor threads open (wish I could). I meant "catch up" like in classroom. I have read the forum help, many FAQs, an "read first" threads and I still had some information missing. It's hard to be the newbie in a forum...

I didn't even get the game until 2015 so this just seems strange to me.

Add to that that your account is registered more than two years after the game released and that due to forum issues only people registering the game within something like the first month after release (having preordered or not) got the preorder icon and it seems really strange. Because even if you had preordered you didn't get that icon unless you registered within that initial period after release.

Yep. Though as mentioned it is strange, since I have the icon back and like you I preordered.
