Fallen Champions features the story of three brave souls - a knight, an enchantress, and a prophet – who venture through uncharted lands beyond the Forest of Bedegraine in fulfillment of their individual quests. Sir Lionel, a brave knight from Britannia, is on a quest to rescue a damsel in distress. Lady Corrigan of the Sidhe, an enchantress of the twilight, is seeking the secret pathways that will lead her back to her lost home of Tir na nOg. Drest the Chosen, a prophet of the North, is drawn by the mystic voices and visions to explore the wild lands. Tied together by strings of fate, these three heroes must join hands in order to prevail as champions of a forgotten battle that began long time ago.

I'm sure you'll like it - although it's quite different from the base game.

It's a lot more story- and character-oriented, with the main stress on the quests and battles. It will be tremendous fun.

Is this going to be using the same battle engine as ka1 or 2? I mean as in how many units is it going to support in battle?

So will there be any sort of sandbox mode in this game? Or will it just be the 3 story campaigns?

King Arthur: Fallen Champions is a story based game, yes. Not a sandbox game. It is a standalone expansion for King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame.

Did you try King Arthur: The Saxons or King Arthur: The Druids? These KA1 expansions (these require the base game) are the closest to the sandbox gameplay experience, if you like sandbox mode, I think you'll like them

Thank you so much for making this a stand-alone game. I plan on getting this installment via GamersGate (Steam has my..err..their copy of the King Arthur base game). I'm making GG my only DD source because My Minion convinced me to.

I saw this listed as requirements for Fallen Champions:

"Multiplayer: Steamworks system (included in the installer)"

Does this mean to say that MP will only be accessible via Steam so we need to install Steam??? Say it isn't so.

The Multiplayer was listed there by accident. King Arthur: Fallen Champions, which is a standalone expansion for King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame does not have Multiplayer.

Unfortunately, King Arthur: Fallen Champions won’t be released tomorrow but within a couple of weeks due to a sales decision.
