im not "up" on WoD, im more of a Pathfinder person these days. but from what i remember/understand..
Old world went bang.. cataclym blah blah.. new world came about ? so having A and B in same time line but mutually exclusive is bad how ?
We have that right now. Books are being published for both Classic World of Darkness and New World of Darkness. People are worried about the possibility that they will revoke the license for both of these in favor of another World of Darkness. We have the best of both worlds right now, and are unhappy with the possibility of losing them for a mealy-mouthed compromise between the two developed by people who have no history with either of the lines. In comparison, the people at Onyx Path ARE those people from back in the day, and Rich Thomas has been there since the start.
or to word that on your example.. Eu and CK -DO- exist in the same "world" , history, but they dont overlap
im just not convinced that change = doom and gloom
Now imagine being told that both EU and CK were being discontinued for something different that incorporates both, being developed by different developers. You can understand why people might be a bit put off by that, right? It's that ugly combination of an implied threat to existing & ongoing work and an unfamiliar face taking charge that doesn't have any background with either IP.
