Personally I'm hoping the thing that people have been asking for since the game has been released is the ability for some sort of rudimentary timetabling to stop vehicles from crowding up. This has been asked for since before the game was released, actually, and it would be great to finally see it done.

-How about Light Rail? Light Rails are really prevalent in North America. The trains tend to be larger, longer and operate at higher speeds then trams. Basically acting like a cheaper version of heavy rail in the United States. Light rails should have all the abilities of the metro.
Then again, in the European context light rail tends to be considered a variant of the tram (and light rail systems often share rolling stock with tramways). The best way to implement Light Rail would (in my opinion anyway) be to add the options for tunnels and elevated track to the trams.

One thing that has been asked for since release: on multi-lane roads, other traffic will use the second lane to pass a bus standing at a bus stop.

Today, when buses are at a bus stop, all other traffic is stuck behind, even though there is plenty of room to pass the bus.

I think we get diagonal subway stations. It has to do with a certain vehicle type, has been asked for since the release of CIM and fits perfect to New York, which is well-known for its subway system. Maybe we get day cities (e.g. San Francisco??) and night cities (New York) as martsu told us that there will be more than one city and at least one day-map.
I am looking forward to everything. It doesn't matter what it is!

Happy New Year to everybody

@x-men, diagonal stations dont have anything to do with vehicles. Also, if there is more than one city, then it is most likely to be places like NJ, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens. I doubt they will make a city of San Fran.

I'm sure the New York map will include Staten Island, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and parts of New Jersey. Much like Tokyo featured more than just Downtown Tokyo. As for the second city in the pack I'd hedge my bets that it's either San Francisco or Chicago myself. As for a certain vehicle type, maybe we'll get the iconic cable cars that grace the city of San Francisco.

I thought we just get an improvement to a certain vehicle type and not a completely new one. But cable cars would be really cool :) Concerning the cities: I agree with Num1hendrickfan. You can see parts of Brooklyn and Governors Island in the picture they posted so I guess it's all in one map. NYC's boroughs are no independent cities and martsu said we may get more than one city :D

You want more German cities, then? =)

What about Hamburg, Bremen or Frankfurt?
(please not, CO, there's life outside Germany, too!)

Why cant we have British cities or Russian or Australian cities,no disrespect to americans but why new york?

They have to start/go on somewhere and can't make everything at once. Maybe British or Russian or Australian cities are next!? Everybody wants something different ... But now we should look forward to this expansion and I think New York is an interesting, multifaceted and probably challenging city.
