I was convinced since dev diary 5 that Stellaris was a game I wanted to buy. Since then, I've read every dev diary and every developer interview, watched all the streams and trailers. I'm hooked. But people who aren't already fans of Paradox Development Studio's games may only be interested in the trailers.
The first trailer is a nice short story that makes an excellent first introduction to the game. It's a very good teaser
The second one however is generic. There was nothing in the trailer that says "this is not another MOO2 clone".
Make the next trailer about why stellaris is different from MOO or Endless Space. Talk about how pops have their own personality, or End Game mechanics, or Exploration, or Uplifting, or any of the dozens and dozens of unique innovations that Stellaris is bringing to the 4X genre.
I don't need trailers, you sold me on it in January. But there are people who are just learning about the game now and don't dig far enough to find out what makes it special. Don't make them dig.
Edit: At the time I posted this most people in the devs time zone are likely sleeping. So maybe I'll post this again at some point
