It isn't as bad as I expected it to be. I even played 1776 USA scenario for the laughs because of it - something I wouldn't have done otherwise. So in general I'm positively surprised by the feature. But there's one thing that irritates me.
One huge flaw of Paradox Connect is the fact that it logs me out of this forum while I log into PC in the game. And even worse, when I log in here, it disconnects me in the game which already denied me some achievements.
Please don't make me choose between the forum and the game, I like to make pauses in my playing to check different threads if there's any new things posted. And I bet I'm not the only person here, even judging only by the amount of alt+tab rants.
You need to improve the thing so it allows simultaneous sessions.
In the long run you could allow reading and posting to the forum from within your games.
Imagine in HoI3 you tell your army group leaders to start conquering, open up a ledger-like window and while your troops are marching forward doing the thing, in the background you are reading the forum.
