Paradox Choices

Could we have a weekly Paradox list which includes forum's member propositions implemented for EU2 . If the week is a too high frequency, may be the month ?
Effectively the EU2 forum goes into any directions. There are a lot very good ideas which disappear with time (Fortress ideas for exemple) ...
If Paradox has already decided the EU2 evolutions, this forum is useless. But if choices are not "stopped" (what I hope), may be that themes like stickies will be a means to manage ideas.
But the more important to my mind is list to know what is decided or not...

What are your advices or ideas on the subject ?

Not a bad idea; but from what I understand Paradox has pretty much decided what goes into the game by this point. Still, maybe these ideas can be useful for the inevitable IGC version of EU2, which Doomie and friends have probably started working on already.

Whell it would be nice muve from paradox to general public.
Buth then agen as from companies who make games PARADOX is wery frendly with public and as I see actualy take complaines and ideas to make EUII more pleyable and fun.
But EUII is probly done and fine tuning is in proces...

Lets see, one day less until EUII will be redy for buying

That's a great idea... but then again... it might give away more secrets or potential secrets than they would like.... plus some large minority will always favor the option not taken!

But I am sure a "feature of the day/week" section would increase the hype highly. Blizzard does it to extenuation with their games. And it works (Warcraft III NOW!)

Yes, the idea is good, but somebody will have to do the work - which is a lot of work. Can't imagine reading all the rubbish written, just to get those goodies out.

With such an idea, EU3 may live up to expectations. EU2 is unfortunately not. Who's going to buy basically the same game except those who haven't bought the first version or are hardcore fans.

Mybe I'm missing out on too many developments, but if the meager announcement is all were getting. Doesn't seem that revolutionary.

Yes, looking at the screenshots it seems that they haven't remodelled the graphics, so although there are VERY interesting concepts lying there (I love the advanced event editor) it will look more like and Expansion Pack that a whole new game. But we need to recognize that they put EU2 together in almost no time

They didn't have to.. Sure, an expansion pack is the standart in this business after a successful title, but EU isn't the type of game you could have an expansion. It isn't starcraft where you can add some new units, maps, heroes.. If there would be an expansion to a historical game (which IMO EU2 is) that would mean there were some points missing in the original. I think Paradox acted early. They should have waited for some more time and gathered most of our opinions & ideas before finishing EU2.

Then in EU3 there could be visual advances, a stronger map editor and maybe a random map option with random leaders and monarchs to maximize the replayability.. Hey, that sounds like a good idea.. I want a random map generator in EU2.. Hear me hear me...

...... which is an accurate assessment.

New ideas are still being implemented, a new one was coined today and is being worked upon.

Celedhring had a good (IMO) idea - I will see if Paradox are up to releasing a titbit or two.

The page on EU2 features in Home directory gives not enough information on the game.

May be Paradox could updates this page periodically. It was my previous idea.

We need a feedback from Paradox !

I fear that they will not collect map suggestions and apply the corrections. This game is played world wide, they ought to apply changes that people suggest from their part of the globe. The players from Argentina suggested sweeping changes to South America, I have suggested renaming those provinces in North America not deriving their name from an indigenous tribe.

Oh yeah, and India needs a complete overhaul.

BTW, I just checked the screenshots they have been mmuch improved!

Paradox is a small, young company and not used to the hyping game!

We (the Mods) are trying to get them to release a screenshot or two every week and "leaked" info about what is in the game. I think we may be winning - keep your eyes open!

When they were first posted, you could see them in in miniture, but when you blew them up they were all distorted and fuzzy... that is no longer the case, you must have missed the icky fuzziness!
