Does she rank at getting her own portrait in-game? So far, we've only seen one advisor portrait (in one of the screenshots.)
that's why I was disappointed in not seeing a dlc for ck2. And before people say it, yes I know there are questions on credibility to the story, but it would make for great story depth in game to see a secret woman pope play out in game as part of an optional dlc, along with more depth for others stories for female characters.Too bad that Pope Joan is out of time frame

If you were going to do a DLC of fictional things, there are way more exciting things than pope joan. I mean she doesn't even get new graphics or anything.

There are lots of historically inaccurate events in game, that still add to richness of the game. But for any Optional dlc, I think that is fine.
If she is the most interesting woman to be featured in this DLC then I'm looking forward to 95 events of incredibly bland life-stories.Don't know if it was already mentionned but will this mod include Sayyida al Hurra ?
Pirate Lord, Governor of Tetouan and later married the King of Morocco. It's basically the cliche story of the self made man that marry the princess but in reverse.

I mean, it would be okay in some kind of RPG-esque setting where you could follow a characters development but this is a game about nations and not characters. What kind of event will she be featured in?

She's probably not the most interesting character in the DLC. SolSara said it was one of the most interesting women she read about not one of the most interesting women in the DLC.
As for the events she can be featured since she was a renowned pirate queen she can probably be involved in events giving Morocco privateer/naval bonuses. Be a adviser after the "wedding" and can also be in Iberian events since the Portuguese and Spanish boats were her favorite targets.
Heck why not negative events ? She can for exemple give autonomy to Tetouan province (Ceuta) like say 50% min for 20 years as she lived in a period where the Sultan authority was weak. or if it's under control by an Iberian revolt risk in Ceuta or why not directly a Revolt with her as the general.
That's just exemple of course.

Questions? There aren't questions, its a piece of fiction. Thats like saying there are questions about the credibility of Star Wars.
Given that she is a) a woman and b) Swedish, I would be mightily surprised if she isn't in.
Maybe I'll finally get The Princess is in this Castle with the help of this DLC, it's great news regardless.

Paradox, thank you very much for this DLC. I appreciate it greatly, and I'm sure other women who play this game will enjoy the added historical touch. Don't sweat the naysayers making a stink about this. Its difficult to imagine anyone having such issues with free content, but sexism really knows few boundaries.

Honestly this DLC is quite meh, but it's free and if the devs just did this during their break or hell working hours as a pet project i don't see why one should care.
In terms of there being character events that have people that shouldn't even be there due to butterflies... Well thats an EU4 mechanics discussion. Personally i don't like it since i come from CK2, but this is EU4 and it should be decided by its fans and not by them who rather see the title become a game it originally wasn't.
Any women from Finland by any chance? I know it is a slim one, but Minna Canth only falls 40 or so years from the game end and i would love to see some light shed on the less populous parts of the game.

Minna Canth is born too late, I'm sad to say. She would work for the Victoria game serie though. Some countries were very hard to find interesting women for, and Finland was one of them :/ As I've said earlier, with Bona Sforza for example, is that I love getting ideas for new events, so if you have any suggestions about women alive between 1444-1820 then I'd love to hear them. I kind of collect them and if it's possible, I'll make an event about them.
