EDIT: Feel free to discuss the content of the DLC but any complaints about "political correctness" etc will be considered trolling. We know there are a bunch of people with that opinion and we don't need to be reminded about it. We wanted to do this DLC anyway.

For what it's worth, I can't see why people view it as politically correct to celebrate IWD and for Paradox to do it on the way it does best: release a free DLC (and I don't need any explanations about it either).

Having three daughters myself and following the turmoil surrounding BBC's India rape documentary, acknowledging the IWD is the least we can do, and anything we do in addition to that is great.

So again: great initiative, and keep up the good work!

I have to say, I think Gráinne Mhaol would be better represented as a Noble or Particularist Rebel than an advisor/admiral. She wasn't big on letting other people be the boss of her.

The criticism this DLC has received is not because of it's contents.

The development time spent on this does not take up any "mechanics"-development time or bug-fixing and only adds historical great women (no magical feminazi-dreams).

Why wasn't it in from the beginning? I don't know, why wasn't the stuff from El Dorado, Art of War, all other DLC's and everything else up to 1.11 in from the beginning?

Pirate Lord, Governor of Tetouan and later married the King of Morocco. It's basically the cliche story of the self made man that marry the princess but in reverse.
