I got my email reply from support at paradoxplaza.com today. They seem confused as to if and when refunds will be happening.

Can you please clear this situation up for me? The email message I got is below asking me to wait another week while you decide if you're doing refunds or not. That's a long time :(

They asked me what the problem was (!!) and to send them my DXDiag file. I think it's a matter of nobody telling support what is going on, so they are just sending out the standard answer. I hope that's all it is.

Yes thats because they still need to sort out how they are going to process the refunds to people who bought from steam/gamersgate etc. i would expect that you will need to get the refund from the retailer and then peradox will need to compensate the seller.

so at a guess they will most likely work out a deal with the retailers where you get a refund authorization code type thing from pardox which is then redeemable witht he retailer. the retailer can then inform paradox that they have had the code redeemed and that they want the money back for that copy.

that would to me seem the most logical reason, but these things cant be set up over night they will need to negotiate with the seller and work a deal.

Hmm thanks, that makes sense.

Guess I have a week to see if they can patch this steaming pile :) I'm not terribly hopeful, but oh well.

Steam gave me a refund within 48 hours last time I asked, and Kerberos has prior experience in giving refunds when they release dud games, so I figured it would be quicker.

so then there is no refund. Given that next to the purchase it says "no refunds"
great. Thanks for crushing my hope of salvaging that fiasco. WELL... wheres the monday patch? Steam doesnt seem to have it...

As for that link, their servers are *gasp* down again.... so we have to wait till they can get them back up before we can do that I guess...

Don't compare steam who has the world's70% of digital distribution to a niche company like paradox or kerberos.
