Paradox account problems

When starting CSL, I can not log on to the Paradox account. I keep on getting problems and the message that no account was found. Therefore my questions:

1) As you can see, I have an account on this forum. Is this the same account as needed for the game? If not, how to get the right account?
2) I bought the game via Steam,. Does that make any difference?
3) it seems to ask for an email account as username. On this forum I log on with a username. Therefore do I need to enter the username or the email attached to this account?
4) Do I need to do anything extra?

Any other information would also be helpful.

Log out of the forums - There should be a "merge accounts" option.

Paradox used to have separate accounts for the webstore and the forums - They're merging the two. You need to use a merged account as far as I understand.

You need to use the Paradox account, which was different than your forum account if you haven't merged them, yes. Moreover, we have the forum change coming and you need to merge anyways so better to do it now!
