If you look at the DB\Units\panzer.txt and compare it to the Mech.txt and motorized.txt you see tank units with maxspeeds of 10 to 22, while the halftrack and truck units are maxspeed 8. What this indicates to me is the fastest tank divisions can strategically move almost 3x times as fast as truck and halftrack units.

To me that maight be true if you were travelling where there is a serious shortage of roads. However when traveling in germany (the makers of the Autobahn - in existance in 1939) these comparisons do not stack up well. I'll take as many trucks as you want and race the fastest takes of that period and I am sure the tanks will not outpace the trucks by x3.

These values need to be trimmed down.

The way it is now the Superheavy Maus is as fast as any truck/halftrack unit. Pure fantasy. And the average tank unit is much faster than any truck halftrack unit.

Something to consider for 1.03.

Great game guys and GREAT SUPPORT for it.
Congratulations.

I have been modding a bit on the speeds. Heres what I have used:
Cavalry: 7 (I think this comes from Bolted 1.01b but I agree)
Prewar tank: 6
Early MG: 8
Basic Light MG: 12
Basic Light 20: 11
Basic Light 30: 10
Basic Light 40: 9
Impr. Light 20: 13
Impr. Light 30: 12
Impr. Light 40: 11
Adv. Light 30: 17
Adv. Light 40: 16
Adv. Light 50: 15
Adv. Light 70: 14
Basic Medium MG:10
Basic Medium 30: 9
Basic Medium 40: 8
Basic Medium 50: 7
Basic Medium 60: 6
Impr. Medium 40: 11
Impr. Medium 50: 10
Impr. Medium 70: 9
Impr. Medium 80: 8
Adv. Medium 50: 13
Adv. Medium 70: 12
Adv. Medium 80: 11
Basic Heavy 70: 7
Basic Heavy 80: 6
Basic Heavy 90: 5
Impr. Heavy 70: 9
Impr. Heavy 80: 8
Impr. Heavy 90: 7
Impr. Heavy 100: 6
Adv. Heavy 80: 10
Adv. Heavy 90: 9
Adv. Heavy 100: 8
Adv. Heavy 120: 7
Super Heavy 100: 4
Super Heavy 120: 3
Super Heavy 150: 2

And yes that makes S. Heavy 150 the slowest unit in the game.
There is a reason why even today there are no superheavy tanks in active duty.
