Pagan conversion to Christianity in TOG

Dear developers of The Old Gods,
are you going to make chain of events where pagan ruler can ask Pope or Emperor (HRE and Byzantine also) to send missionaries to his realm?
Historically, prince Rastislav of Great Moravian "Empire" in 832 asked Michael III. of Byzantium for missionaries, how "speak similar language as people of Great Morava". In 833 st. Methodius and his brother st. Constantine (Cyril), came to GME with sacral books and Holy Bible translated to new language written by new script, called "hlaholika", base for nowadays Cyrillic script. Language after disputes with Rome became fourth sacral language, same as Latin, Greek and Aramaic.
After Rastislav's dead Franks attacked GME and expelled disciples of Constantine and Methodius to area of lake Ochrid, today Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

so in game, if pagan ruler ask Byzantium for missionaries relations with Pope and HRE should drop, can be Casum Belli for Christian ruler, who supports Rome and HRE, and in case of East–West Schism will religion change to Orthodox.

aaan maybe: if missionary = Court Chaplain is not from same cultural group converting province is slower and may way to rebellion. But if from same, it should be easier to convert and with no significant rising of revolt risk...

I'm also hoping to be able to convert yourself to a religion, even if it would come as a massive hit to piety and prestige. The only way to change a dynasty's religion is to get your child a tutor of the required faith, and even then, it's only down to chance. There needs to be options to do so for political religions, in order to make sure you don't get invaded for religious reasons, or simply as a way to get someone to favour you much more. There is a way to ask your spouse to convert, as well, why couldn't it be done both ways, when your country is at risk of being invaded by a much larger Empire? Not to mention, you may only swear fealty if the other is of the same religion. Rastislav was a Christian when he asked for missionaries, which is naturally why he'd done so. But, mechanics would be useful for the conversion of your ruler in the first place, for diplomatic reasons.

That said, I believe that missionaries would probably be best restricted to Christians and Muslims, as Pagan conversions probably seem as if they'd work better post-conquest, as well as not giving the Mongols that big an advantage.

Paradox has suggested one method of conversion will come in the christian world being able to send missionaries to the pagan lands. A pagan leader wanting to convert hasn't been addressed(to my knowledge) yet.

The ability to request them could work, though (were it me) doing so may come with its own risks -- relationship penalties with vassals of the old ways that might lead to an uprising if the populace doesn't convert fast enough.

My ultimate guess is realms will have a number of missionaries they can send out (based on the liege's learning skill, demesne size, and modified by the court chaplin's learning skill) and it'll work a little like the current ability to send the court chaplain to convert a province. Hopefully this will allow for faster conversion for lands brought into the nation, unless they restrict missionaries to going abroad; time will tell.
