Having this problem, and I'm not sure whats causing it.
Obviously being an unreformed pagan I'm under elective gavelkind. I've created the Kingdom of Perm. I've taken the Duchy of Karelia, and of course also have the Duchy of Perm.
Now on my last kings death, Duchy of Karelia passed to one of my sons, and he became instantly independant?
Then another 2 or 3 individual provinces also became independant..
What could possibly have caused this? I understand how gavelkind works and how the titles are split up, but from my understanding the only way a title can pass from my realm is if the title holder is from another realm itself, but how did it become independant on the title succession and when it was my own son?
