Hi everybody.

We would like to present you unofficial addon for CORE2.
It is called Polish Army and Government in Exile - PAAGIE.
We are hoping it will be in one of the future releases of CORE2 but first it needs to be tested.

You can find there about 80 new events concerning Poland in Exile and hidden provinces.

Just follow the link below.

What is PAAGIE

PAAGIE is a short for "Polish Army and Government in Exile".
It's an add-on for CORE2 that in future we hope to find as integral part of this great mod. But before that happends a series of tests is to make.

As you probably know from history Poland has lost war with Germany in 1939 but didn't stop fighting against Nazis. Many Poles in and out of Poland were countinuing to fight with agressors.
In vanilla and "till now" mods you can't play as Poland after it lost September Campaign. But "hidden feature" of HoI2 gave us a possibillity to create Polish Government in Exile and Polish Army in Exile.

We are trying to do our best to create events that will fit CORE2 policy, be attractive for player, historically consistent or eventually with high chance to happend.

We would like to create as many events as CORE-team will allow us to make, but we are trying to make every of them essential.

PAAGIE has been released at 28th of February so it's pretty fresh and needs a lot of works.

All of your ideas and proposals are welcome.

If you have some free time and oyu would like to see how "ghost provinces" works and know a little bit more about polish history then please play PAAGIE (CORE2 included).

We are trying to make HoI2 even better.
By Blayers for Players.

Enjoy!

A short status info:
Right now we are reworking some events and adding new ones.
There is 109 at this moment and amount is still increasing.
There are (major mini-chains):
- Moving PGIE abroad,
- Polish refugees,
- Creation of polish army in France,
- "Operation Peking",
- Enigma,
- Warsaw Uprising,
- Partisan activity,
- Sikorski's death,
- "Action Storm".

We are also looking for some support from ppl that know how to create event pictures.

I think that in the late months of war also the Lublin Soviet-puppet government should appear: it would be interesting seeing who would "win the race" to conquer Poland, the Allies to install Polish Governement in exile, or Soviets to install Lublin's one.

Nice to know that foreigners know's something about Polish history.
With implementing Lublin's gov we would like to wait for "new order" events.
Thank you :)
Also, establishing a Polish state German-puppeted, leaded by Franck and on the borders of Tsarist Poland (or something less), could be an idea in the event of Soviet surrender? Surely it would not be a nice event for Poland (even worse than SU-puppet), but historical-like.

Just as an aside. I realize that historically, the gov in exile called most of the shots, but that these units were under British control for the most part.

i'm not sure if this is being played this way or not, so correct me if I am wrong, but I would think that it would be more practical game wise to make these british events vice polish events. ie, britain gets the extra polish fighter sqns who fought in the battle of britain, the extra manpower for the Armd division(s), etc. From what I understood, there may have been also polish units that fought for the soviets, etc.

Anyway, just my 2 cents.

You are right, most of the units were under british control. But we are trying to give a player something to do. Also manpower flow would be easier if they are going to be Polish.
We will try to set Polish AI to send them to britain as expeditionary forces so it will be almoust like in history.
About polish troops in SU they for sure be under SOV command for most time of the game.

 I think this is a great addition to the game, also consider other goverments exiled armies, navy and airmen not represented in game from Czech,Norway, yugoslavia and Republican spain. Thats just a few fighting for england to get the ball rolling not forgetting the greeks and the jewish :)

I think that the expeditionary forces route would be the correct method to go.

Though why anyone would want to play as poland under these circumstances, is beyond me

:D hee.

We can't represent brigades, as the smallest operational unit is the Division. Possibly we could allow the Polish player some decision as to how their forces would be formed. For example, maybe there are choices as to the makeup of the new Polish force. Option 1 being historical (X many Armoured, Infantry units), with Option 2 being slightly different (fewer armoured, same infantry, but a mechanized), etc. It may be possible in one of these combinations to have an airborne division formed by player choice, but at a cost of other forces (this assumes that the UK can only devote a certain amount of resources to the Polish forces, restricting things like having a 6 Armoured Division force created).

I've been digging in the AI files, and I'm wondering if it might be possible to send these Polish units of yours to Britain as real expeditionary forces. As in, not by using MilControl. Are you interested?

Ranger mike: I think that we will wait for CORE2 0.2 as the new AI will help to play this game till the 44 or 45 and see how it's going. (of course new events will come too).

Brasidas: In next release we will stick to POL tag so probaly AI switch will be needed for POL. But, yes I'm interested in any help. Could write in few words what are you would like to do?
