Has anyone in Oz bought, or at least pre-ordered, EU2 as yet? Last time I got it from software first in England and they were fast and relatively inexpensive. I've had a look at some USA online stores but they charge nearly as much for S&H as for the game, which is absurd. Any recommendations and/or hard facts as to where to obtain it. I want an english language version...

Shops around here had neither heard of it, nor did their distributors have it on their supply lists. I directed them to the paradox website.

I bought EU 1 over the counter at mindgames in melbourne. I believe you'll be able to order at www.mindgames.com.au . You could also try Military Simulations, from memory it's www.mil-sims.com.au .

I am still hoping to hear from some of you who have actually bought EU2 either in oz, which seems unlikely, or online. The prices i have been quoted online for p&p from the states seem excessive to me; the equivalent of some $AU60 - just to send a cd in a box etc by airmail. The game itself is only $AU45 from EB online in the states. perhaps I'll just have to wait til DEc 12 the and see if the local EB stores in Melbourne actually do get it...Meanwhile, back to civ3 which I think is quite good, altho I've only played a couple of games on easy level. Its definitely a big improvement over the earlier civs in terms of ease of actually playing etc and looks and sounds better too.
