overstretched states

so preparing my moding for a javan game under 1.03b. i see that Sumatra is a bit overstreteched with around 36 provinces and 156 pops.

i think it need some done sizing. creating one Sulawesi states, Javan and Borneo one too.

it's a bit advantagous for industrializing in this region if u have the javan culture.

as i remember an old game South Africa states was a bit overstretched too but not too the same extents.

nope i just check and in the 1.03b the Dutch have only Sumatra as a state for indonesia.

VIP 0.3 merged a few states together. For instance, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut are now one state, and Pennsylvania and New Jersey are as well.

certain states under european rule are lumped toghter like the UK's united provinces in india....one game as germany i conquered all of british india but the states broke apart....i didn't get the ultra large united provs states but more smaller ones.

i thing it safe to say that certain scenarios use custom states....look at vietnam in the 1836 and then again in the 1914 scenario....theres also plenty of other examples.

I don't htink it's so much that as opposed to that you have states and thatn you have STATES. Like Sokoto and Nigeria, each is a seperate state but if you own both they merge to gether to form 1. Kind like a way of saying "yeah it's a state but this other state makes it super state."

Personally, I feel the large lumpy states in Africa should be broken up a bit. I feel they unnecessarily inhibit industrialization for any African country that manages to achieve it.

try being oranje and annexing that near by african state in vip, 6+ mil to your own people, damn south african state

Nah, Texas is too big, it needs to be chopped up a bit.
