Hi,

Even after all those thousands of hours, I still don't get what are overseas provinces (which are mentionned in the exploration ending bonus) and how I can see it in the map menus.

- Which map shows them? I did not find any but maybe I didn't know what to look?
- I guess they are related to our capital. Eg my current personalized game has a capital in "la havane" (in Cuba (french name of the most western province on the big island in the west of the caribeans) : what is overseas?
- What are the benefits/flaws of such provinces?

Thanks for your help.
I checked the wiki but did not fully understand what I saw there nor if it was up to date (it was months ago so maybe I forgot the exact thing).

They changed it some patches ago, so even having 1000 hrs will not necesarily be true anyway ;-)

However, currently overseas basically means any province outside of your continent at least for the purpose where you need it... Like african capitol (mamluks) can make trade companies in India despite land-connection but can´t in africa... So basically explo finisher means you can make claims in every colonial region as european but are limited if you are american.

Also you didn´t look at the map-modes very well ;-) since there is one called "overseas provinces" under geographical modes. Should be under or around colonial :) those overseas will be painted red, those not are green.

It´s related to provinces, I´m unsure if you consider the other american continent as overseas but check the mapmode I mentioned :)

There are not many benefits/flaws to overseas anymore due to states... However, depending on location it does limit colonies and trade companies... In America it wouldn´t hurt your TC numbers though, so you should be good there :)
