I have been trying to get to the next level and start adding overpasses, highways, etc. to my cities instead of just having massive surface streets. I must be using the interface wrong, because the only way I can find to do this is EXTREMELY unintuitive and manual, and is causing all kinds of bad things, such as exit ramps that are opposite the highway traffic, are very uneven, and maximum-height on all overpasses. I also can't find a way to construct double width 2-way highways instead of single direction lines, which is clogging this with masses of secondary bridges.

Can someone please tell me where the controls are to automatically make overpasses, on/off ramps, etc. in a sensible manner? There must be something in here that is better than this page-up/down business.

Helpful but it would be much nicer if the game had a better interface for deal with multi-level roadways, given they are virtually required. Just getting to the other side of the outside world highway is a major project in fighting the interface. The workshop stuff doesn't really fix anything, it just gives you another bunch of premade options to hope are applicable.

they are indeed required. the game gives two choices, either open the asset manager and create an asset yourself which you can then place and use as often as you require, or like i said download some of the thousands that are on the workshop. there are many excellent interchanges on the workshop, some of them are unfortunately huge, but there are other more compact designs.

not being able to lay two lanes of motorway at the same time is one of the most requested features on the forum, and it has probably been that way since day one. hopefully one day it will be implemented into the game, as for now however there's not much that can be done other than build slightly lopsided motorways and get annoyed by the lack of symmetry like everyone else. it hasn't even been modded into the game which is probably significant

The newly implemented precision tools make drawing perfectly parallel roads much easier, you can now snap to the angle of an adjacent road. It's still not exactly what these people are asking but it's quite something. Making a smooth curve is easier as well.
