You can build a building that goes over a road.

Just build over the normal limits of the lot you chose. The game does not prevent it.

But... It can only be done with ploppables because you must have control of what will be on the other side of the road (you'll have to create and plop two assets, the one on the other side having no visible construction...or another part of the same one but it will be more difficult if the terrain is not perfectly flat.)

Ah I understand. Yes, I noticed it was possible to build bigger than the alloted spaces. It does come with some issues, one mainly being that at certain angles, your object will disappear due to the game engine believing it is off screen, so it no longer renders it.

yes but only at very close range as it seems.
