As per title. I was a bit skeptical from reading the dev diaries, but in general, I want to play more and more.

Map painting is fun, the map is beatiful, interesting events and tech system, war itself is fun, 3D portraits are cool, the different gov types are different enough to be interesting (should provide enough fun till the Government DLC arrives wink wink). You just want to play the game and achieve glory with your nation.

My main concerns are with the UI (could use an overhaul it simply confusing and tiresome to use, not every tooltip is helpful, etc) and some minor stuff (do holdings do anything? making families satisfied is microhell).

So thanks Paradox, for another great game :)

Agreed, I especially love the way the map switches from political to terrain as you zoom in. Didn't think I'd care that much about but damn if it's not beautiful. The UIs a bit large and meh but what is a Paradox game without UI issues? Just had a fun hour or so messing around with the Roman Republic and it was all very stable and unglitchy, having been playing these games since EUII that's a bonus in itself. It also was pretty easy to pick up as an EU/CK veteran, without even touching the tutorial so that's a bonus.

Like any game of this type it'll take at least a week or so to see whether it has legs and isn't an empty shell to start with like Stellaris but opening experiences are positive.

Congratulations that you are able to play this game without having massive rectangles of ocean over land provinces and rectangles of land over sea provinces. Good for you.

I know others are struggling but I am enjoying it greatly. The pop system feels dynamic and it gives some weight to a kingdom or empire.

I wish characters and pops had more independent initiative, like in CK2 and Victoria respectively. But overall it’s good, and I expect that stuff to come.

It's just a game dude, chill. I'tl get patched in a week at most

Why do I have a feeling that if I tried to pay Paradox a week after I got the game, they would not be okay with it?

Release dates exist for a reason, and given the massive number of technical problems people are having, this one was too soon.

from what I can see, the game is incredible but it is completely unplayable due to the stuttering issue
