Since I´m unable to preorder, could someone tell me if I can get the english version of HOII in Stores on 4 of January like everyone else ?!

Paradox will publish and release the game on January 4. The game will be distributed through Atari in North America on the 4th as well (because Paradox is self-publishing the North American version, they and not Atari pick the release date).
Besides direct orders through this website, the ONLY version being released on the 4th is the North American version (the Paradox publication). The Scandinavian publication (the version that will be shipped to stores in Scandinavia) is NOT the Paradox publication. This will be handled by PANvision and will be released on the 14th. I believe Spain will actually have it before Scandinavia as well, with a release date of the 10th. Other publishers around the world will follow, on their own schedule.
Someone from Paradox can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm almost positive that this is how it's going to work.
Supposedly HOI2 will be released on the 4th in the Netherlands and Belgium as well. By a company whose name i don't remember.
exactly, and it is by transposia. I even e-mailed them for confirmation, and it would be released around the 4th of January here. And it's english AFAIK, so you could pick it up here.

AFAIK the only way to get the English version is an through an importer. That was how I got all previous Paradox games, since the German translations came out either too late, or were so horrible (HoI anyone?) that I found the NA versions more preferable.Donnie D said:

In the German part of the forums there was a thread started by Tracid who organized a preorder of the English version for us Germans but I guess it might be too late for this now. But you could look the thread up and try to contact Tracid anyway.
I ordered an English version of HoI1 from a German online game shop (don't remember which one anymore) so this would be a possibility, too. These English versions are, as far as I know, of course imported. So they might be a little bit more expensive than the German version but you are likely to get them earlier than the German version and (probably the most important thing) Koch Media won't get any money.

oh no, French translations are usually so awful it's hard to get seriously into the game. Reminds you of the "Engrish" litteral translations floating around on the net.
