I don't know if it's still in EU4, but I did like the "nodynasty is shaken" event you might get if you turned the Teutonic Order into Prussia in EU3 and then got that event with the formerly TO ruler.

When this happens, I just imagine that the marriage in question was with one of the members of the Regency council (they are the highest nobility, after all), and when the new ruler rose to the throne, they had that particular council member executed or exiled for some reason.

I like to think that Regency Council is actually the name of a person countries outsource their government too when they have no other recourse.

You're not marrying the council just like your monarch is not married to the leaders of every other nation. That even raises a few questions since 90% are male anyway.

You're marrying a member of the ruling dynasty.
