And more, since Transylvania should be a vassal state of the Ottoman Empire, why should the Turks still have cores on it, as you can see in this event three provinces are ceded back to Hungary as to let her become Transylvania and move her capital to province 323.
...

So your hypothesis that a liege having cores on the provinces of a vassal improves relations is obsolete?

One problem I see is that the Ottomans should lose those cores if Transsylvania owns them. However what is if neither Ottomans nor Hungary owned them and so neither Transsylvania nor Ottomans have them after the event? The event guarantees only the possession of the province of Transsylvania itself.

Should then only Transsylvania have cores or the Ottomans also?

That is different. In order to inherit Hungary by event in 1540, the Ottomans have to keep Hungarian allegiance, while here Transylvania is formal vassal as much as Moldova and Wallachia. That is why I have also asked for the possibility to give to the Ottomans the cores on these two countries too.

One problem I see is that the Ottomans should lose those cores if Transsylvania owns them.
That is my proposal of modifying TUR_19019.

However what is if neither Ottomans nor Hungary owned them and so neither Transsylvania nor Ottomans have them after the event? The event guarantees only the possession of the province of Transsylvania itself.

Well, in the same event (19019) the Ottomans give them back to Hungary before her tag change. Hungary should already have them, probably we should remove all 1419 Hungarian cores in HUN_19020 when Hungary becomes Transylvania except those three on Ruthenia, Maros and Transylvania.

However I can't say which changes we should have in other events related to the death of Zapolya.

About post #281, only remaining question is ownership of Jedisan at start of 1520 scenario.

It is not easy to answer since area was not really controlled, as I understand the maps.

But we have the sequence STE_287003 A => CRI_152050 => TUR_301083 => CRI_152005 starting in 1500 and seceding Jedisan to OE if OE already owns Bujak.

Better solution is then ownership by OE (as it is in 1520 scenario) even if it wasn't exactly the case. Core granted becomes then confirmation of the control by OE.

Any thought?

Yes, but if neither Hungary nor the Ottomans own them but someone else then the Ottomans won´t go after those provinces as they lack the cores. No big problem though.

Removing all cores except their 3 provinces is not good for Transsylvania - they should try to reconquer the remains of Hungary from the Austrians. After all SIE can become Hungary if it owns those cores.

Valachia and Moldova are vassal too, but no core is on them, however...

Yes, probably we shouldn't remove these core on Transylvania with my suggestion to modify TUR_19019 and let it stay as it is. But I also need to know othre comments before any submission.

no addcore found on wallachia for TUR, so recommend above.........this should continue to 1820

As I posted before, in doing with we should also add a core on Moldova (318). Both provinces are without TUR cores, if corresponding countries exists it's ok, but let's say that Poland or Austria conquer them?

The alliance command in many cases simply won´t work because the country already is in an alliance or the other country is not the leader of it´s alliance as far as I remember. So that command might have no effect.

Then I suggest that we grant Ottoman cores on Wallachia and Moldavia in a new event which triggers only if

-WAL/MOL don´t exist and are not owned by TUR but some other nation (the Ottomans should try to vassalize WAL and MOL but not try to capture wrong-culture, wrong-religion provinces).
- and if TUR owns and controls the neighbouring provinces to have landaccess to the provinces - else they should concentrate on their other cores
- the Treaty of Karlowitz has NOT happened. After the treaty of Karlowitz the Ottomans are supposed to slowly lose control of the Balkan and after that they should not gain a new core there.

And should the Ottomans actually conquer WAL/MOl I suggest to have an event in which TUR has to decide if they want to grant them semi-independece as a vassal (A) or keep them as their own (B). After all even in event TUR 25007 both are mentioned as having kept some independace despite being in the ottoman powersphere.

There is no trigger to check if WAL/MOL are vassals of "someone else than TUR" except by checking for every single possible liege?

your idea is fine if MOL and WAL do not exist, then we should give cores to TUR

the semi -independence business of WAL was going on for about 100 years, the TUR just got sick of it and overran wallachia

Fair enough, but this is a fairy tale event, an event that leads to nothing.........it seems its an event to keep WAL in existance

I think we can remove it

The ottomans already have a core on Bujak. They gain it with TUR 301003 in 1481.

I would also suggest another line for the trigger:
NOT = { event = 301015 } #TUR: Karlowitz losing cores on half of the Balkans

instead of a deathdate the addcore for WAL and MOL should no more happen if the Ottomans lose their grip on all the surrounding provinces.

Reluctant to aid the Turks against his Christian brothers, Sherban secretly aided the Holy League who, in turn, following the crushing victories over the Ottomans, promised him the mantle of the Eastern Roman Empire to which he was entitled by descent. Sherban died in 1688, probably poisoned on the orders of the Ottoman Sultan.

I don't see where is the problem in seing OE trying to keep Wallachia in its alliance since Wallachia should be vassal. I see it as a safety event to protect Wallachia but not exactly the historical choice.

Ok for Ragusa involved in TUR_301015.

Ok for the idea of the new events and core on Wallachia and Moldova + Bujak (even if this one is granted in 1481)
But what will happen if Moldavia or Wallachia disappear just the day after the event? Better have contextual events for "Wallachia is Turkish vassal" and "Moldavia is Turkish vassal" granting cores as soon as each country doesn't exist (even if provinces are owned by OE). Only question is startdate and deathdate. In this case, proposed condition of 301015 in trigger could be added but only if deathdate is chosen after Karlowitz in 1699.

Of course, Karlowitz should remove the two extra cores (Wallachia and Moldova but not Bujak) even if they were never granted before.

There is no trigger to check if WAL/MOL are vassals of "someone else than TUR" except by checking for every single possible liege?
Yes, only vassal of a named country... Easy, isn't it?

Core removal

In case that Kasr-i-Sirin aka the Treaty of Zuhab does not fire or "no treaty" is selected in the C choice we need another event to remove the ottoman cores on Dagestan and Azerbaijan.

They are added in event TUR301007 in 1574 and the text there mentions that they were held only for 20 years but disputed until 1639.

I suggest an event like this:

Code:
#(1639-1820) We Have Failed to retain our easternmost outposts
event = {
	id = 301128
	trigger = {
                NOT = {
		   OR = {
		      owned = { province = 471 data = -1 } #Daghestan
		      owned = { province = 487 data = -1 } #Azerbaijan
		       		}
 			}
	core = { province = 471 data = TUR } # to prevent the event from firing if the cores have already been removed by Kasr-i-Sirin
		}
	random = no
	country = TUR
	name = "EVENTNAME301128" #We Have Failed to Retain our easternmost outposts
	desc = "EVENTHIST301007"
	#-#

	date = { day = 17 month = may year = 1639 }
	offset = 30
	deathdate = { year = 1820 }

	action_a = {
		name = "DAMN" #We have failed
		command = { type = removecore which = 471 } #Daghestan
		command = { type = removecore which = 487 } #Azerjaijan
		  }
	}

Edit: { I hate brackets. }

Edit: Moved back startdate to 1639
