Warning potential spoiler alert.
After several failed attempts to get thru 1941, I changed my tactics...
I was avoiding Games with England starting with the 'Steady as she goes' focus, due to war goals vs. Iraq and Iran.
After noting conditions for it on the 'Home defense' focus, I decided to try it.
Every thing went well aside from Iran's Mountains being tougher than expected.
I ended up with Syria, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Iraq & Iran (I didn't really want to take Iran, having no core options and helping with a free spy slot being an ally).
I had no choice though, they started the nationalism focus leading to England's condition.
Afghanistan Joined the faction and I had Bulgaria as a puppet.
In all games I have yet to find a way conquer the proposed cores in Yugoslavia and Romania.
Either they team up and have more than twice my units combined or Bulgaria takes Macedonia and puppets.
Hmm ok never mind that, I'm stuck in Warrior code mode as a player, guess I can always attack with my puppet.
Still I would need to later annex thru autonomy to gain the cores.
Another tactical change was to try a 40 width template for the first time and the Maintenance company.
I really like it now, er both. Just need a good template for all the trucks and light tanks I end with from Mc.
Maybe good support for north Africa Air born now that I know UK will leave the sea areas if you take away their ports.
coupled with Mass assault doctrine the 40 width is amazing.
Still on the fence about air born vs. marines. Air born takes a big manpower hit when landing...
Germany and I had a great 1 year war vs. Soviets.
I made the mistake of taking land boarder to Sinkiang a potential future enemy and no intent on parking troops there.
That came back too bite me later.
UK fully decolonized and split into two factions.
My bad luck, the nations were mostly staggered, so I'd have to war with both to invade Africa.
Jordan started a boarder conflict just after the Soviet war, so I had no troops there and they won back Syria.
Lesson learned, I had no idea that could happen.
After retaking Syria the Allies would not call in Jordan. As I wait and plan, Italy invades Palestine blocking the road to Egypt.
Egypt being in the other alliance, I would also have to fight India.
No big deal, I would have continued if not for was going on with my stability.
I have the Sultans heir as my leader and was happily surprised to see Republicanism came back.
Now I am being influenced to Fascism for 3 years and slowly losing stability due to party support.
I tried improving worker conditions and republicanism 3 times and gained no stability, it just kept slowly going down.
Did my game bug out, or is it the +85 acceptance of Fascism?
