I'm basically opening this up as a forum for people who want to talk discuss possible transport types for a hypothetical 'mass transit 3'
I personally have some suggestions, in all honesty it's mostly watercraft.
1. Personal Watercraft
Basically, an option for private owned boats citizens could use, particularly on archipelago maps, to offer access to islands. Basically here you would place a marina or a slipway, possibly draw waterways for the boats to use, ideally like the fishing routes for sunset harbor and boats would spawn randomly, like cars do from appropriate buildings.
2. Tourist boats
Like tour buses these would be functionally re skins of the ferries, except that as well as actual stops to board the boats there would be spots to stop and see the sights, useful for attractive coastlines.
3. Car Ferries
We've seen a few people ask for these, passenger ferries that can load a few cars to transport them across the water. If possible it'd be neat to be able to draw bus lines through the ferry lines, like a bridge, so the bus travels across via ferry as part of the buss line.
4. Barges
Simple here, cargo equivalent to personal watercraft, you put the ports in place, connect the waterways and cargo can be transported over the water within the city.
5. Garbage Barges
A version of the Barges basically acting like Sunset Harbor's waste transfer facilities, again letting garbage be transported off small islands without a bridge.
